Phyme is a tool for cataloguing your physical media collection. It is in an invite-only beta. This page explains, in plain language, what we store and why.
What we store
- Your account: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google.
- Your collection: the discs, editions, prices, stores, dates, notes and viewing status you enter or import.
- Login cookies: small cookies that keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers display preferences (such as list or poster view) on your own device.
We don't use advertising, tracking pixels or analytics tools.
Who can see it
Your collection is private by default. Only you can see it; this is enforced by the database itself. Shared reference data (film titles, posters, label names) is visible to all members, but it never says who owns what.
If you choose to make your collection public (Account → Public collection), anyone with the link to phyme.app/your-username can see your username, display name, and the titles, labels, spine numbers, formats and editions on your shelf. Prices, stores, purchase dates, notes, condition, and anything sold, given away or on pre-order are never shown publicly. You can make it private again at any time.
Services we rely on
- Supabase stores the database and handles sign-in.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Google, if you choose “Continue with Google”.
- TMDB (The Movie Database): titles you search for, and titles from spreadsheets you import, are looked up there. No personal information is sent.
- Wikidata: when you sync spine numbers, film identifiers are looked up there. No personal information is sent.
We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Your choices
- You can export your whole collection as a spreadsheet at any time (Collection → Export CSV).
- You can edit or delete any disc whenever you like.
- To delete your account and everything in it, contact shane@looplesslogic.com. We'll delete it within 30 days.
